What is Project Payatas?
We are a Christian community dedicated to uplifting and empowering the mothers and women of Payatas. Our livelihood program helps combat social stigma and provides additional income through the creation of products such as doormats, coasters, potholders, coin purses, and bags.
How We Started
During our outreach in Payatas in 2021, we identified the need for supplementary income and empowerment among families. Initially starting with just three moms, Project Payatas was launched to utilize the rag-making skills common among mothers in the community. This initiative not only promotes environmental sustainability but also fosters economic resilience and empowerment. Today, we proudly support 20 families and look forward to expanding our reach even further.
