Celebrating Community and Color at Peryang Pinoy 2025

Last April 5, 2025, we had the joy of joining Lakbay sa Mga Kwentong Makukulay at Peryang Pinoy, held at Bantayog ng Mga Bayani in Quezon City. It was a beautiful gathering of local artisans, food makers, and community enterprises — each one bringing a story, a craft, and a vision for a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Project Payatas PH set up our humble booth alongside a vibrant community of changemakers. From the early morning setup to engaging with fellow vendors and kind-hearted visitors, the entire experience reminded us why community markets matter. These are more than just selling spaces — they are venues for connection, collaboration, and shared purpose.

Our upcycled woven pouches and mats, handcrafted by the incredible mothers of Payatas, found new homes and new admirers. It warmed our hearts to hear people ask about the stories behind each product — from the hands that made them to the communities they support. And despite a little rain here and there, spirits remained high, laughter was shared, and memories were made.

We’re grateful to Sisidlan Institute for organizing such a meaningful event and to every person who dropped by, listened to our story, and supported local. These moments fuel our mission to empower communities, champion sustainability, and celebrate the creativity and resilience of Filipino artisans.

Here’s to more shared stories, woven dreams, and communities uplifted together. 🌿✨
